So I have been crocheting my ass off for the past week or so in order to get my etsy shop up and running. I'm super excited about my new venture but at the same time a little nervous and apprehensive about the whole thing. You know those negative thoughts run through your brain whether you want them to or not. "Will people actually like my stuff? What if nobody buys anything?" Stuff like that. But I guess you just need to go for it and see what happens.
I decided what I would do is start out with a few of my skull scarfs since the reactions I have gotten have been pretty positive so far. Each one I made is a little different and unique. Plus I have the design for the skulls memorized so I whip them out pretty quick. I know I said I would get a pattern ready for the skulls for people to buy but for now I'm going to be a selfish bitch and keep it to myself just a little bit longer. You will just have to make do with my obscene doily patterns for now. (You know you love them.)
Here's a few of the skull scarfs I've been working on. I will post on my blog and let everyone know when my etsy shop is up and running. Any comments or opinions are always welcome and appreciated!! Since I'm new at this I need all the advice I can get. Btw the pic's are just quickies not the best.
I'm not quite finished with the last one yet. The leaves still need to be sewn on.
Love, Love, Love these! I would kill baby animals for that skull pattern. But, I think I will patronize your etsy shop instead!

ReplyDeleteHey Kara wonderful to meet you on the Artisans site! Love your scarves and looking forward to your etsy shop. Just one comment do will you be making any in black?? cheers!
ReplyDeleteBlackCrow, the Artisans site looks wonderful so far and I look forward to exploring it and figuring everything out. Yes I do plan an making some black scarves. I need to find some Alpaca fiber in black. It's my favorite fiber to work with. It's so soft and drapes just beautiful. Plus it's warmer and lighter than sheep's wool.
ReplyDeleteI like these, very cool!
ReplyDeleteHey! I linked to your blog on my latest blog post and included a picture of one of your scull scarfs. Let me know if you want me to take it down; I just really like what you do and wanted all my followers to check you out :)
