Cute Crochet Skull Scarf Pattern

So don't want to spend all you hard earned cash on buying one of my skull scarves? Well fine then. I finally created a pattern for all you awesome crocheters out there.

 

One Of a kind crocheted skull scarf pattern by me Wicked Crochet! This is a pattern I love dearly. Please do not share or sell copies of this pattern. This pattern is for personal use only and is not for distribution in any form. Items made with this pattern may not be sold at any time.

 

You can use Worsted, DK, or Sport Weight Yarn. You will need two 100 gram skeins.

Gauge is unimportant in this project. Just change your hook size to correspond with the type of yarn you are using. For example if working with sport weight yarn use a size D (3.25mm) crochet hook etc.

Single crochet (sc)
Double crochet (dc)
Treble crochet (tc)

Wisteria Skull Scarf

Another one of my skull scarves has been finished and put up for sale in my Etsy shop. I really love how this one turned out. More cute crocheted skulls with wisteria flowers draping down the sides. This is made with my very favorite fiber, alpaca wool. I know I've said it a million times but that stuff is awesome super soft. I love the variegated lavender and purple color too.

Happy New Year Skull Scarf

Happy New Year my faithful readers! I have a feeling 2011 is going to be a great year. I have so many ideas in this warped brain of mine for some new wicked crochet creations.

I was able to start the year off by completing a new skull scarf. This is made with some great yarn. The light green is hand spun alpaca wool from animals raised right here in Oregon. The variegated color I used for the skulls and fringe is hand painted merino from New Mexico. I just love the bright almost neon colors of this scarf. You will definitely stand out in a crowd while wearing this skully beauty.

Lately I've been sketching my ideas before I actually start the project . Here's the sketch of the skull scarf when it was only a twinkle in my eye.

 

Yeah....The scarf looks much better.

 Thanks to my lovely daughter for being a good sport and modeling for me. If it wasn't for her my cats would have to model. And I'm sure that wouldn't thrill them in the least.

Pumpkin Vine Scarf

"On Halloween night, the Great Pumpkin rises from his pumpkin patch and flies through the air with his bag of toys for all the children."

I absolutely love "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown." It's just not Halloween at our house unless we see it. Inevitable every trick-or-treat adventure I have with the kids one of them always answers my question of what they received in their treat bags with "I got a rock." This is my ode to The Great Pumpkin.

Momento Mori

Memento Mori

A beautiful Latin phrase meaning "Remember you will die."

For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated with death. I guess you can say I am attracted to the darker side of life. Cemeteries are some of the most beautiful an fascinating places I have ever been. In old colonial cemeteries there are some beautiful headstone decorated with wonderful skulls. That's where I got the idea for my Momento Mori scarf.

This scarf is done in piece work, each motif being crocheted separately and then sewn together. Skulls, Irish crochet flowers and leaves make this one of the most unique pieces I have ever created. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. I definitely will be making more of these!
